| Beauty Pageant Tips
You are signed up for the pageant and the emotions are at an all time high. The fun really starts now! So much to do and think about to prepare for the upcoming event. Organization is an essential part of the process to reach your goal. Serious preparation and tough competition are twin realities for all contestants in a beauty pageant.
Everyone needs help when they start contesting and most winners owe their successes to timely beauty pageant tips. We will list some tips to help you start on the right path. These tips are not guarantees, but will help improve your confidence and chances of winning.
_ Attitude is part of the beauty competition. Children are like mirrors and they will reflect and act just like their coach. Humility and a willingness to learn and improve are the hallmarks of top achievers in the world of beauty pageants.
Treating organizers, fellow contestants and judges with consideration and respect are very important. You are being watched virtually all the time, “so walk the talk” remember the old saying, ”pretty is as pretty does.” Everything you say and do will probably be repeated by your young contestant.
_Planning ahead, making detailed list, packing with great thought, and arriving early will keep things moving along smoothly. The more organized you are, the calmer the situation will be. This will help ease the feelings of the contestant and put her in a calmer and happier state. Also it will give you both more time to mingle and enjoy the event. Remember that you are dealing with a child and children need play time as much as food. Play helps to release pent up feelings and helps them find comfort in their surroundings. Balance is the key. Children function better if they have a peaceful environment, healthy food, plenty of rest, exercise, playtime, a good schedule, and supportive loving attention.
_When you pack keep in mind emergency situations. Pack things that you could use to patch or fix things if they tear, break or if something is spilled on an outfit. Duct tape, needle and thread, safety pins, laundry spot removers, bandage supplies, clear nail polish and so much more.
_Confidence is built when we feel comfortable in a situation. Knowledge is the key no matter what age the child is. She will feel safer with the whole event if she understands what it is all about. You can share with her some of the history of the organization that is having the competition and why they are having it.
Explain to her what the judges look for other than beauty. Tell her they get nervous also because of the hard decision they have to make. Build a story if she is really young. Point out what the judges will really like about her. Let her know that if she makes a mistake it is OK. Then tell her if the judges laugh, it is because they feel comfortable and it is OK if she makes them laugh. The competition is a performance. You want to entertain as well as impress. Relate a cartoon character so she can understand what a performance is about. She should understand that she is a part of a big show and is special. It is not all about winning but about getting better at being the best you can be. |
